A Coca Cola Observation

If you've known me for a while (college and before) you know that I was a huge Coca-Cola drinker.  I would literally drink about a 3 litter a day.  I knew it was bad for me.  I saw the ads with sugar cubes and such.  I even saw the specials on TV showing me how you could fight rust using Coke.  I was still hooked and continued drinking it, I'm not sure why.

I'm not here to talk you out of drinking it, you'll have to come to that conclusion yourself or suffer the consequences.  Like anything else in life it's 100% up to you.  All I want to do is make an observation to all of the Diet Coke, Coke Zero and Vanilla Coke drinkers out there.

First off Diet Coke and Coke Zero.  We drink it because the marketing claims better health.  These products have less calories and less sugars then the real thing but the 'same' taste. Of course with that logic why even sell the original but I'll keep moving on.  So in order to give you less calories and make a product healthier I would assume the product would take out some ingredients right?  Let's take a look...

Between regular Coke and Diet Coke High Fructose Corn Syrup (sugar) has been taken out and Aspartame (sugar substitute), Potassium Benzonate and Citric Acid have been added.  If you drink Diet Coke it would be worth your while to look up those ingredients.  Ok... so less calories... more ingredients... hmmm.

Now going on to Coke Zero we have added and replaced some ingredients I can't pronounce but sound like something I used in my high school Chemistry class.  If this doesn't set off some alarms I don't know what does.

So in order to loose a few calories I am replacing those calories with some kind of chemicals?  I know how I feel about this but the real question is, "how do you feel about this?"  And are those chemicals worth 140 calories?

Well what about regular Coke and Vanilla Coke, let's compare those two!  Vanilla has a few more calories, less sodium, more carbs, and more sugar.  I understand that, I mean it is only Coke with some Vanilla flavoring in it right?  But no major nutritional difference there.  What about the ingredients?  What is in the vanilla flavor?  That's weird the ingredient list is exactly the same for the two products isn't it?

For me, that again raises some red flags.  At least before I could research these new ingredients and come to my own conclusion, now I can't.  Maybe those natural flavors aren't so natural?

Conclusion
I don't mean to pick on Coke here.  There are plenty of other products out there that do this exact same thing.  I chose Coke because it's one of the most popular brands and because I was hooked for so many years.  The point is READ THE INGREDIENTS.  In my opinion they are more important then calories! Which is the reason you switched in the first place.  You can read more about that in my past blog here.

Responsibility in Reporting

The article flowing around Facebook today finally made me want to write a small blog post about responsibility in reporting.  If you don't know what I'm referring to, it is the article about Miss America 2014 and a number of people being hateful (to put it lightly) to the fact that she is Indian-American and won the Miss America Pageant.

Now my blog has nothing to do with Miss America but at the reporting that was done, and in many ways how most 'reporting' is done.  Post after post today on Facebook seemed to be about my friends screaming about racism and how they couldn't believe there were so many horrible people out there.  Hey I agree, there are plenty of hateful people out there.  But I'd like to rewind for a second and discuss what started this entire thing in the first place.

I have two problems with this article, and guess what, neither has to do with the hateful people out there, that's an entirely different subject that I'd rather not get into.  They have their own opinion and while I don't agree with it, it is their opinion.  Note:  I'm not even going to link out to the article in question because I don't believe it deserves any more attention, I'm sure you can find it if you like.

ONE.
The facts of this story are straight up wrong, or at the very least extremely misguiding.  There are about a dozen or so horribly negative and hurtful things being said, and I'm sure there are more.  But what it fails to mention is all the wonderful and amazing things people have said. I don't know if this fact is true or not but one person posted that there were 314 million tweets posted about Miss America.  If a dozen or so were negative, do you realize how small a percentage of negative vs positive that is?  If 12 vs. 314,000,000 (negative vs positive) is where we are as a society, than we are progressing, congrats! :)

But this particular article decided to title their article "A Lot Of People Are Very Upset That An Indian-American Woman Won The Miss America Pageant."  Thanks a lot!  What exactly defines 'a lot' of people? Because my numbers are showing something much different.  If you're going to do some reporting why not give us a real statistic that takes into account all tweets for a given amount of time.  By singling out a few horrible ones, and title your article as such, you've now put a whole slue of people into a fury.  Or better yet why re-post the negative ones at all?  Are you improving anyone's lives by doing this?

Ok, I'm pretty sure I know why they did this, it attracts more attention to their webpage.  More people click on links that they're emotionally attached too.  But come on  Is this really what we're willing to do to get some attention?  The sad truth is, it is.

TWO.
Do you really and truly care?  Or are you looking for something to complain about.  I don't know about you but I don't even remember the last time I thought about Miss America.  Couldn't even tell you any of their names.  What I'm trying to get at is does this outcome really affect your life in anyway?  Does Miss America even really affect that much in the average persons life?

If this pageants outcome does, or you still really have strong feelings about it are you willing to do anything about it?  I mean it's one thing to complain when something directly affects your life and you're willing to take action.  It's another when you just feel like complaining.  In my opinion if you're not willing to take action, then you shouldn't be complaining.

Look I'm not suggesting I have the answers here but in my opinion I think we as HUMANS should start focusing our attention on the things that really matter.  Making our own lives better and making others lives better.  If we all just focused on those two things, all of this other 'fluff' would simply fade away, and in many cases falloff into the background.

Oh and if you want to stop these people from reporting like this.  STOP reading this junk.  Ok fine, I read it too, but now I'm upset that I did.  You can bet I won't go back to this website from here on out.  If people like this have no audience, things like this won't be reported any more.  But it's going to take all of us to take a stand to not fall into these 'marketing' traps anymore.  Can you imagine how uplifting life would be if a large portion of the news and things being reported on were positive?!?

Oh and if you know someone like this, who truly feels this way; ignore them.  It's not easy but it is simple. Ok I'm done ranting... for now :) Now go be HAPPY and don't let things like this upset you!

On being challenged

I don't know if this is one of those things where the older I get the wiser I get, or maybe I'm more comfortable with myself now so I don't feel the need to go down these roads any more.  What I'm talking about is 'being challenged to do something.'

I used to be the guy who, if you wanted me to do something, just bet me I couldn't  The sad part is, there usually wasn't any reward, it was just a simple bet.  It was a need deep inside me to 'prove myself' to other people.  I had to show them that they were wrong and that I could do anything I put my mind to.  I'm not claiming this part of me has fully gone away, I still enjoy a good challenge every now-and-then, but recently I see others making the same choices I used to and I think to myself, 'ugh is that, or was that me?'

I heard a commercial on the radio the other day where a woman was trying to empower other women.  She said the same old tune, 'tell me I can't do something and I'll show you I can.'  Then in the background you hear a bunch of other women cheering for her and her 'can do' attitude.  What I'm wondering is what kind of message are we sending when we hear or do things like this?  Is it truly a positive one?

Growing up my parents were always very supportive of me.  They always instilled the idea that 'I can do anything I put my mind to.'  Great values in my opinion, especially in a day in age where more and more people seem to be willing to give up before even trying; and where failure is now looked so far down upon instead of being realized as an act of trying to accomplish.

My question is, where did we find the need to prove that point to other people?  I know I can do anything I set my mind to, why do I feel the need to prove it to you?  In most, if not all cases, I don't even care about the task you are assigning to me.  It's not going to improve my life, and when it's all said and done, you're just going to give me a smile and say, 'I can't believe you just did that.'  Then we'll chuckle about it for a few minutes and then it's over.

If this is you my point is this, dig deep within yourself and ask yourself why you do these things.  Are you simply looking for attention that you aren't normally getting?  Or is there some other need deep within you that isn't being fulfilled?  Maybe you should challenge yourself to fulfill that need first.  Or at the very least really consider the challenge.  Does it align with your own personal goals?  Will it improve your life in a meaningful way?  Will it at least improve others lives in a meaningful way?  What is the real reward you're getting out of this challenge?

In my own case I think it's just a simple need for attention.  Maybe I wasn't being taken serious enough within my own group of friends.  Maybe I just felt like I wasn't being heard.  In either case I think I just wanted the attention.

I think our new message should be something like this.  'YOU CAN DO anything you set your mind to!  But choose to do the things that are going to be MEANINGFUL to your own life, or the people's lives around you.'

If this blog hasn't changed your mindset then I want to throw out some challenges of my own for you...

1.  I challenge you to become truly happy.
2.  I challenge you to make other people's lives better.

Good luck and I bet you can't do it!

The Scale & Why It Should NOT Be Your Focus

NOTE:  I want to explain something.  This blog is the step before you start a fitness and nutrition plan.  This was written to hopefully help you get your mental attitude straight before you go into your plan.  If you're looking for fitness and nutrition tips and tricks, I'd love to help you, but that's not what this is about.  In my opinion this is more important.  Getting your mind right before you change your body in any way can drastically make things easier later down the line!

I doubt there's anything I could say during this blog to get anyone to stop weighing themselves, but hopefully after reading this blog you'll stop putting so much stress and concern on what the scale says and shift that focus and energy into what really matters.

Let's start at the beginning.  Do you really want to lose weight?  Almost all the people I know trying to lose weight would answer 'YES of course I do.'  I'd like to argue that in fact you don't want to lose weight.  Let me explain further...

When you daydream of losing weight, what do you think of the most?  How you'll look in a swimming suit? Maybe the feeling of more confidence?  Maybe the activities you'll be able to now perform better; running, jumping, pull ups?  Something else possibly?  The point is this, it's not the weight loss you desire, it's the measurements, the feeling and or the actions that you truly desire.

For example, let's say I'm a genie and you tell me your goal weight is 120 pounds, and you currently weigh 250 pounds. Now I tell you back, that I can't do anything about you're weight but... I'll just give you your ideal body instead.  Now you have your ideal body, but your weight hasn't changed, are you really caring at this point what the scale says?  Or are you running right to the mirror?  I'm guessing you're going straight for the mirror.

How about the women in the picture above?  She may have been trying to lose weight, but oops, she gained over 10 pounds.  Do you think she cares about her weight at this point?  Doubt it.  Look at the women below, they all weigh the exact same but all look much different.  Maybe some of these women want to change maybe some of them don't, but the point here is that 150 pounds can look very different so don't judge yourself on what the scale says.

To be clear, I'm not advocating that everyone have a 6 pack or look like any of the women in the pictures above.  The point is to be happy, healthy and comfortable with yourself.

Conclusion
Look I know it's tough to not jump on the scale and wonder what it says.  For some reason it's a lot easier to look at a scale instead of simply looking in the mirror and asking ourselves, 'am I happy with myself?'  If after this entire blog you still need that scale to tell you if you're happy or not, I'll come over there myself and set it back a few pounds myself.

Also when you're first starting a nutrition and fitness program I ask TWO things of you.  The FIRST is that you give it some time.  I have two clients now that say they haven't lost a single pound but they're happier and their clothes fit better.  Sounds like progress to me.  It's true that muscle weighs more then fat!

And TWO, please stop being so hard on yourself.  Pat yourself on the back and reward yourself for any type of progress.  Many of the weight loss stories you see in magazines, newspapers, and on TV are false anyways.  They just want you to buy some product so don't expect these results.  Find someone who has actually done the work and ask them what they did.

Now good luck on whatever journey you choose and stick with it!

Lifting Weights for Women

Lifting weights somewhere along the line got a really bad name for only being for men who want to be outrageously muscular, or for women who for some reason want to look a bit 'freakish.' Ever see these pictures, or similar ones to them below?  The truth is lifting weights alone does not yield these results.  And unless you are trying, and trying extremely hard, you will never look like the pictures below. These men and women did not just walk into the gym one day, pick up some weights, and wake up the next morning looking like this!

I am targeting this blog to all the ladies out there who are worried about lifting weights and or not even considering a program like Beachbody's Body Beast!  It's my intention to calm your nerves about lifting weights, and lifting heavy weights at that!

Getting results: The Calorie Rule!
Ok it all starts with this rule.  Simply put, your body uses a certain amount of calories per day (you can find calculators online that will help you estimate this number).  If you consume over this number you gain weight, if you consume under this number you lose weight.  Now this 'rule' goes a lot deeper than this but for the case of this blog that'll be good enough. Easy so far right?

I don't want to get big and bulky!?!
I get it, you don't want to lose your feminine physique.  Don't worry you won't.  Buuttttt I'm guessing I still haven't put your mind at ease?  Ok, think of it this way, changes don't occur over night.  You're not going to lift a bunch of weights on Monday and then be big, bulky and veiny on Tuesday!  It doesn't happen that fast, and if it did, every guy in the world would be HUGE!  This process takes time.

Remember when you wanted to lose 10 lbs and it was taking too long so you quit?  Adding size takes a long time and a lot of food.  But just to calm your nerves about a program like this think of it this way.  If at anytime you're not liking how your body is changing and you're not liking your results, you can always STOP.  It's just that simple.

Oh and don't forget our calorie rule.  Beast up and lift those weights ladies, as long as you're not taking in a huge excess of calories you can sleep soundly knowing you won't get any bigger!  Actually you'll be working out harder so you'll actually be able to eat more, WIN WIN!

Cardio burns more calories, you sure?
Maybe in a per minute amount of time but not overall.  Your body recovers from cardio session much more quickly then weight training.  So after your cardio workout, and a little time after that, your body is done burning calories.  Weight training however is different.

During weight training you tear you muscles apart.  After, your body has to to your muscles back together also making you stronger.  So with weight training you will burn calories during the workout (obviously) and also for days after the workout while your body rebuilds itself.  Win win!  Your body will be burning calories even when you're not working out!

Please note I'm not discouraging cardio in anyway.  There are a number of health benefits your body gets from it.  I'm simply making a case for weight training here.

Fat vs Muscle
Let's keep this one real simple.  Muscle naturally burns more fat in your body to operate then fat.  So if you want to burn EVEN MORE calories, add more muscle.  I've even read that, "for every 1 lb of muscle you have, you'll burn an extra 40 calories per day."

Conclusion
I hope I've changed your mind about lifting wights and lifting heavy weights.  Those actions alone are not going to make you bulky.  In fact in my opinion the 'form' of your body is for the most part made in the kitchen, so feel free to do what you want in the gym.  If you're looking for a program that is laid out and simple to use let me suggest Body Beast.  Plenty of women and men have been loving the results they have been getting from it.  It comes with the workouts, nutrition guide, supplements, support and everything else you will need to transform your body to meet your goals.  Oh and don't let the cover fool you :)

Deciding vs Doing

RIDDLE:  Five frogs are sitting on a log.  Four decide to jump off.  How many are left?
____________________________________

ANSWER:  Five.  Because there's a difference between deciding and doing!
I found this riddle in John C Maxwell's book "The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth."  The riddle itself isn't hard to figure out, but learning the life lesson it teaches us can be.  How often have you used the words tomorrow, soon, someday, eventually, when I'm ready, or the  hundreds of other words for not doing something.  Now don't get me wrong there are plenty of legitimate reasons for delaying action but I'm talking about the things YOU KNOW YOU NEED TO DO NOW.

Why do we put these things off?  Why do we, in many cases, make the things we need to get done into bigger chores then they really are?  There is an entire book devoted to answering these questions titles "Eat That Frog" by Brian Tracy.  In his book he brings up a really good point that really stuck with me.  I'm paraphrasing here but it says that...

Everyday we have things we want to do and things we have to do.  Typically we do all the small little things first leaving the larger 'less fun' items on our agenda for later.  While we're doing these more fun and simple tasks we are constantly thinking in the back of our mind about the larger more daunting tasks.  Unfortunately by doing this we typically build these tasks up to be more overwhelming then they really are.  This makes us put them off even longer snowballing the effect further.

Instead try this, get those tasks done first, right away.  Wow crazy idea!  By getting those tasks done first not only will the rest of your day seem easy (because you only have small fun tasks to complete) but you will also end your day on a more positive note.  Not to mention, if you're anything like me, you get more work done in the mornings then in the afternoon.  Spend your energy on the more difficult tasks so when the more exiting ones come up you'll feel like you have more energy and less likely to crash!  And... you'll go home happy instead of out of energy!!!

I'm sure there is much more to discuss on this topic but think about it for a while.  How many times have you 'talked' about doing something but have never done it?  Then later wished you had.  It's not too late to change.  My challenge to you is to simply DO THINGS!  Right or wrong just do things!  You may be surprised at all you can accomplish, and it's a great habit to have!  :)

Communication, through my eyes...

This is a topic, or maybe a pet peeve of mine, that has been bothering me for a while so I wanted to take a few seconds to share my side of the story with you.  I think this topic would actually stir a decent amount of controversy but since my blog isn't that popular I think I'll be able to avoid most of that :)
I would like to share with you my thoughts on communication, and more specifically 'incorrect' communication.  What I mean by that is when someone spells something wrong, phrases something wrong, or even uses the wrong their, there, or they're.

I get called out on this all the time!  In most cases I hit enter before spell checking something or my phone auto corrects me and I don't even notice.  My question is this, does it matter?  I would say that 99% of the time that this happens, the people around me still know exactly what I'm trying to communicate to them.  But it almost always seems necessary for them to correct me and tell me I'm wrong.  Why?

Fine, YOU'RE right, I am wrong.  But does telling me that I'm wrong actually help anything?  All YOU'RE doing is stroking YOUR ego for a few seconds and making me feel dumb and not want to be around you.  You still know what I'm trying to communicate to you, you get the point.  But instead of continuing on our conversation, which could potentially be enlightening for both of us, we have to stop in the middle of our thought process to deal with something, in my opinion, doesn't really matter.  My bad grammar isn't harming anyone, the world is still spinning and you still understand what I'm trying to say.  I guess I just don't get it.  In my opinion the people around me have thoughts and ideas I care about.  How they get that information to me is irrelevant.

Have you ever seen this example?
[I cnduo't bvleiee taht I culod aulaclty uesdtannrd waht I was rdnaieg. Unisg the icndeblire pweor of the hmuan mnid, aocdcrnig to rseecrah at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno't mttaer in waht oderr the lterets in a wrod are, the olny irpoamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rhgit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it whoutit a pboerlm. Tihs is bucseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey ltteer by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Aaznmig, huh? Yaeh and I awlyas tghhuot slelinpg was ipmorantt! See if yuor fdreins can raed tihs too. ]

Look, us bad grammar-atics aren't trying to write books here, and in that rare case, we would make sure to hire someone to keep us in line.  It's my hope that any of you out there that like to correct people consider holding you tongue and allow them to communicate their thoughts to you.  In my case I always feel like my brain is spitting out ideas too fast and I don't have time to review and analyze each one of them, I just want to share!  My point is this, maybe by doing this we can more fully understand each other and our ideas rather then our seemingly inherent need to interrupt people and tell them our thoughts; of course learning to listen is a whole other topic.

Silence is golden, not this :)

Motivational Facebook Covers and Misc

I've been doing these Motivational and sometimes fun Facebook covers for a while now and I thought I'd start a small library on here of all of them I've done so far.  If there are any of them that you want for your own cover just let me know and I'll email the full size to you! Living without a cell phone

I'm going to keep this short and sweet.  This blog isn't meant to be some mind blowing revelation that I experienced but more of a few little things that I learned.

First off you may be asking, why do I not have my cell phone, especially this day in age.  I have a phone, I didn't drop it, I didn't fail to make payments, and in some ways the reason I was without it was not my fault at all.  Being an extremely impatient person I decided I had to have the developer version of ios7 after seeing my cousin have it.  For some reason I couldn't wait til it was released to the masses and I wanted it now.

I downloaded the files and signed up to be a developer and began installing the software.  Midway through my installation Apple's developer site goes down, I later learned it was hacked.  In order for me to complete the installation my developer account has to be fully activated with my phone's ID number put in the system.  With their site down this can't happen.  So my phone is 'bricked' until their activation site is back online.   Ugg... what bad timing!

It's now been about 11 days and I have no idea how much longer this is going to take but here's what I've learned...

What I've Learned....

1.  I waste far too much time on my phone!  Standing in line at the grocery store, waiting for food, etc, these are times I am constantly on my phone checking if someone new 'liked' a facebook post of mine rather than talking to my friends, or even better making new ones!  Oh, and 95% of my new emails are junk emails anyways, do I really need to check my email every 30 minutes?  Is it really worth missing out on meeting someone new or hearing more about my friends lives to check on the next Groupon deal?

2.  If you don't have a phone, you notice other people always being on their phones!  Ok, so I don't have a phone and I'm walking around with some friends who are all zombied out looking down at their phones!  Maybe I need to work on being more entertaining, or maybe we need to learn to talk more with people, above an beyond the how was your day and what's new.

3.  People need to learn to use their phone as a tool to help their life, not take away from it.  I'm guilty of this too.  But seriously, what did you do before you had a cell phone?  Life was probably less stressful.   I can't tell you how many times I've been stressing out over waiting for an email or some kind of reply.  We learned that watching a pot won't make the water boil any faster, same with your phone!  Learn to check it at only key moments in your day and you can reduce tons of stress!

4.  We are losing personal contact.  Sales people and checkout people seemed almost frightened when I looked them in the eye and said, 'Hi' or 'How are you."  Eye's up and enjoy your surroundings!  On your deathbed you're not going to wishing you had spent more time on your phone!

5.  Don't have to worry about texting and driving.  I know I shouldn't be doing this anyways and most times when I check my phone I'm at a light but still, it's not worth it!

6.  I get lost!  I learned my sense of direction has severely diminished!  In LA this is a problem because one wrong turn can end up losing you a good hour!  But I've realized even when I know the way to a place you use my phone for reassurance.  Ohhh and the map I threw away in my back seat because why would I ever need that again!??  I need to now go buy another one!  And trust me, phone chargers in your cars are great for the times you run out of battery, but don't do sh** when your phone just doesn't work!

7.  I actually do call people more than I thought.  OMG I couldn't believe this one!  I would find myself telling people to call me, or that I would call them to discuss something!  Oh but wait I can't.  I was actually trying to maintain a personal connection and all I could do was email.  I actually had to drive 30 minutes to my friends house to use their phone!

8.  I need it for people contact info!  Being in a business where networking is essential, I realized I put all my notes and thoughts in my phone.  I'll be carrying around more pens and paper now!

9.  You won't die!  I have posted multiple times on Facebook about my phone situation.  The number one response was, "I would die," or some variation.  No you won't!  Eye's up and enjoy the world around you.  The same people who want to go on a hike to, 'get away from it all,' are the same people who bring their phones.  Whatever you decide to do, work, grocery shop, go to a bar, take a class, stay in that moment and give it your full attention!

Ok that's it for now! I'll let ya know when my phone comes back online but more importantly I'm going to really start working on the things I've listed above.  It's sucked missing I'm sure a bunch of texts, but I'm actually really happy about this experience and what it has taught me!

REVIEW: The One Day Arm Cure

REVIEW: The One Day Arm Cure

Back in High School I opened up a muscle magazine to find an article titled, "The One Day Are Cure."  Next to this article and workout was the picture of a guy and his crazy ripped perfect arms.  The program claims results from 3/8" to 1" on your arms. Wow only one days worth of work huh???  I was very intrigued by the idea but lacked the commitment necessary to complete the workout, so the idea faded away.

I have no idea what brought it back to my mind but I figured I'd search this article out once again now that I'm more into nutrition and health.  Here's where I found it...

http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/the_oneday_arm_cure

Ok, so now I have the time, the commitment, and I don't want to regret not doing this like I had in the past so let's go!  I'm assuming you don't care about my day or how it went but really just want to know, "did it work?"  Since people are asking me about results the day after PLEASE CONTINUE TO CHECK BACK FOR MORE UPDATES TO THIS REVIEW.  If you are the 1% who want to know about my day and what I thought please feel free to email me and I'll tell ya anything you want to know (jimmie.brenton@gmail.com)

To be fair, here's what I did and didn't do...

I DID
...follow the program.
...eat the meals.

I DID NOT
...follow the supplements to perfection but instead used what I already had.

The Results (Started on 7/9/2013)

UPDATE (Day after)  Gained 1/4 inch flexed and unflexed.  Ok serious, why do most guys seem to only measure their arms flexed???  I walk around 99% of the time unflexed, so isn't that what I should care about more?  Anyways, my arms don't really hurt very bad.  I mean they're a little sore, but nothing really any different from the many other workouts I have done.  The increase in size could be from my muscles still swollen, let's hope they stay this way or continue to grow.  I'll report back more later...

UPDATE (2 Day's after)  Results have stayed and this is usually the day that I'm most sore but I'm actually feeling good.  Let's see if they remain!

UPDATE (Week after) Well I'm happy to report my results have stayed.  The one day arm cure added about 1/4 inch onto my arms, not as much as promised but I'm not going to complain!  I'm not going to lie I thought the results wouldn't stay.

Final Conclusion: Try it.  It takes time no doubt, but if you have the time WHY NOT?  If anything this routine may get your arms out of a fitness rut and change things up a bit.  Worst case scenario, you don't gain any size and you just spent the day burning calories and eating clean  :)
