Overview: "22 Minute Hard Corps is your no-nonsense, boot-camp-butt-kicking fitness program. Legendary trainer Tony Horton has created a challenging, but simple to follow workout program inspired by training program techniques used in the military. Each workout is a quick--and intense--total body drill designed to get participants "boot camp fit" in just 8 weeks. Each day of the program consists of a series of total body rounds within the 22 minute workout window, rotating through functional resistance, cardio, and core focused workouts." - Beachbody
What You'll Need: This is a limited equipment workout so all you'll need is either a single dumbbell or sandbag, or a pair of dumbbells. Personally I recommend 10-20 lbs of total weight for these routines. If you're using two dumbbells that's two 5's or two 10's. You'll also want a pull up bar or band. I ALWAYS recommend the pull up bar, even if you can't do a single rep right now.
Note: Certain moves are more comfortable with a single heavier dumbbell rather then two but either way you can make it work. In the video I was holding a 15 lb sandbag and that was enough. Currently during the TEST GROUP I'm using a 20 lb sandbag. You'll see it briefly in some of the shots or if you follow me on social media.

Could a Beginner Do This Program?: I always say "where there's a will there's a way." However if you get discouraged easily or don't want a challenge this program may not be for you. I still struggle with certain moves, but that just lets me know I have some gaps in my fitness.
CARDIO 1 | This 7-move workout gets your heart pumping from Minute One. Keep up with the platoon and earn a massive calorie burn. |
CARDIO 2 | This is basic training, but there's nothing easy about it. It's 3 rounds of 7 exercises, but these moves will push your fitness even further. |
CARDIO 3 | This cardio routine alternates between floor work and plyo moves for 3 hard-driving rounds. |
CORE 1 | Get ready to work your lower back, abs, and obliques in this epic, 10-move drill. |
CORE 2 | The reps are doubled in Core 2 to test your limits and maximize the burn. |
RESISTANCE 1 | 5 simple resistance moves in 3 back-to-back rounds. |
RESISTANCE 2 | More resistance, more sweat, and more muscles recruited. |
RESISTANCE 3 | This resistance workout adds plyometric strength training to challenge your endurance. |
SPEC OPS: CARDIO | These weighted cardio exercises utilize the Beachbody PT Sandbag to boost endurance and obliterate calories with extreme prejudice. |
SPEC OPS: RESISTANCE | Three rounds of 5 advanced exercises that incorporate the variable-resistance Beachbody PT Sandbag to challenge your fitness even further. |
SPEC OPS: CORE | This elite 10-move core workout hits your midsection hard to help you get ripped and ready for action. |

Many of these routines will have you getting up and going back down to the floor. This is a basic move for anyone's fitness however if you are extremely overweight this could become a problem. As always modify modify modify. Instead of doing 20 reps for example do 5. Or maybe only go down half way. Either way I always suggest you try the move as long as you're not hurting yourself.
The Sets - BRAND NEW: Beachbody really went all out this time scouting multiple different locations which will add some visual interest for you while you're trying to make it through these routines. If you can see through the sweat dripping in your eyes you'll notice there are 3 different locations: a field, USS Iowa battle ship and an airline hanger, where you'll find me.
