I Need to Drink More Water

I need to drink more water each day. I know it. You probably know it too. Why is drinking 'enough' water each day so hard???

For most people it's a mixture between just forgetting to and not wanting to make a hundred trips back and forth to the bathroom.



They say you're supposed to take your body weight and divide by two, and that's how many ounces of water you need to be drinking everyday. Okay so I'm around 80 ounces... that's not helpful because I was sick the day we memorized how to convert ounces to gallons in school.

BUT WHO CARES? I can easily figure out the math here but I'm still stuck with the original problem... I get bored drinking that much water and let's be serious any other liquids in that quantity isn't going to be healthy. Enter my new project... FLAVORED WATER.

Now I'm not buying any garbage that someone else made and bottled in an already over plastic-fied world (yes that's a new word). And I don't need to buy expensive fruit diffuser water bottles but you can if you want. I bought 2 pitchers from IKEA for $5 each, bought some fruit and I'm slicing it up and putting it in there.

More Options
First off, I now have an unlimited amount of flavors and options I can try. Not only will this be fun but I'll actually want to drink more water because I'll want to try my new concoctions!

You'll be Detoxing
Want to flush the junk out of your system? Drink more water. Enough said.

You'll Have Fruit Around
You can go online and read all this crap about fruit having a lot of sugar but really the only people who have to worry about that already know how to control their diet. For the average person trying to lose weight you've probably got some other habits you need to kick before we get to the "limit fruit" phase. So if it's between a piece of fruit and a Snickers bar, grab the fruit.

More Calories Burned
Okay well I can't solve the bathroom issue but look at it this way; you'll be burning more calories AND getting exercise from walking back and forth! If you work in front of the computer this will help your eyes, circulation and focus.

Conclusion
I don't really have one yet but I'm excited about drinking more water now so that's saying something. If I'm looking for more ways to be healthy in the water department then I'm also looking to improve other areas of my lifestyle. It's a journey not a destination.
