6 pack secrets
90% of people who ask me for fitness advice always ask me how to "get" a 6 pack. 9 out of 10 of those people who hear my advice glaze over, fade off and generally stop listening. Why? Well probably because they don't like my answer.

Why would they not like my answer? Because I'm not telling them anything new. I'm simply reinforcing what they already know but are unwilling to do.

Samuel Johnson, and English author said "Men need to be reminded more often hen taught." YES I have tips and tricks for you, but first I must dispel one of fitness and nutritions greatest myths. The truth is that the answer to the perfect body (or 6 pack if that's what you want) isn't some great secret so stop looking for it.

It's consistency, hard work and dedication. It's doing many of the same, often considered boring, things over and over. Did I lose you yet? The sooner you’re willing to recognize this fact the closer you’ll be to creating the habits, taking the steps needed and doing the actions necessary towards getting those results.

You see the formula hasn't changed. Fitness + Nutrition = Results. Some people will haphazardly throw out crap and say “abs are made in the kitchen” or “abs are 70% nutrition and 30% fitness.” Sorry not true - or at least not true enough.

The truth is abs are REVEALED through hard work in the kitchen AND the gym. You have to give them both dedication. Most people have a much harder time getting their nutrition under control which is where I believe the 70/30 “rule” comes from. Either way we can banter about numbers or, you can spend your time doing the work. Sadly most people choose the first option.

Want to know my simple and core rules for getting/ maintaining a 6 pack.
  1. Eat lean meats, complex carbs and healthy fats in reasonable portions - that’s it. It’s generally pretty boring.
  2. Workout 5-7 times per week consisting of resistance training, cardio and stretching. I prefer a 70/20/10 split, respectively.
  3. STOP making excuses (whether valid or not) and find a way to do the work, or don’t reap the benefits.
  4. Mentally, look at each meal as a workout. Are you making progress towards a 6 pack or away? You’ll be “working out” 3-6 times a day plus your physical workout with this method. Make each on count.
Look, it’s really quite SIMPLE, but we all know that what is simple is not necessarily easy. I’ve found most people just need support. They need a coach. They need someone to hep give them that jump start. If you like what I’ve written here. If you like a no non-sense simplistic approach then contact me for more help. Maybe we can work together and get you started, or re-started, right.
