Why I Chose Network Marketing

I want to start by saying this IS NOT A BLOG ABOUT RECRUITING.  I'm not even going to mention which organization I'm a part of.  Of course that information is not hard to find.  Also this blog wasn't written to debunk any common myths related to Network Marketing.

This blog is about the reasons I joined Network Marketing and why I think more people should seriously consider it.  My hope is that after you read this you'll understand why I decided to pursue this lifestyle and hopefully, become a little more knowledgeable on what Network Marketing COULD do for you.

My background
Allow me to start at the beginning.  I saw a problem a while ago with the corporate companies I had been with.  It went something like this.  If I work harder (usually more hours) then I would get paid more. Now most people would  say, "well duhhh."  But I didn't like that.  Can't I just work smarter and get paid more, or at least the same?

In my particular situation that wasn't the case.  The more productive I was, the higher 'the bar' was being set, and then I was expected to always work at that level without greater compensation.  Slowly my daily ritual became finding a balance between not working too hard and not getting yelled at.  My goal was to stay safe and do whatever I needed to do to keep my job because the economy sucks; only improving my work at key moments.  Maybe you've lived some of this story and maybe you still do.

I want to make it clear, I didn't hate my job(s).  The work was okay and every now and then a project would come along that really excited me.  I loved my co-workers and I seemed to get along with just about everyone.  But over time that wasn't enough and I wanted more.  What exactly I wanted I didn't know.

I noticed something else, the people making the big bucks always seemed to be stressed.  Always running around freaking out about something.  Now from a health perspective we know that stress definitely isn't good and it can age you quickly.  Screw that!  Hell, I'm still trying to become a vampire so I won't age.

Now since my goals of becoming a vampire and working less for the same amount of money didn't look very promising I knew I needed to find another way.  Enter Network Marketing.

Network marketing
This is what network marketing promised me which no other field seemed to do.  This wasn't an immediate promise but a promise of a 'real' future.  A future I could be truly happy with...

  • TIME.  You work when you want to work and play when you want to play.
  • FRIENDS.  You get to work with people you enjoy and are typically your good friends.
  • TRAINING.  In my situation and I'm guessing other network marketing companies do this, you get training from the top earners in the company.  In what other business do you get to learn directly from millionaires? Most higher ups in the corporate world withhold information to maintain their position!
  • VACATIONS.  Vacations and retreats where you have the opportunity for them to be paid for. There is no asking for time off and having to pay for the vacation myself only to come back to boat loads of work.   Network marketing companies are willing to pay for very exclusive vacations for your success, and my success is up to me.
  • FREEDOM.  You can wake up when you're done sleeping.  You can work part-time or full-time.
  • FULFILLMENT.  Your work is fulfilling and you believe in what you're doing.
  • INCOME.  Your income is reflective of your work but without limits on income!
  • LIFE.  You're living your life and not wasting away in a box.
Let's be honest for a second, network marketing IS HARD WORK.  It's not easy, but the skills required to become successful at it can be learned and are minimal compared to the pay out.  Doctors and lawyers go to school for years and years to learn their craft.  Sure they get great pay but they also work all the time.  The point I'm trying to make is that you're probably going to work hard either way; why not work at something that has a greater pay out?

Conclusion
Please don't go out and quit your job and join a network marketing company right away but consider YOUR 5 year plan and all YOU WANT TO ACCOMPLISH.  Putting in some part-time work now doing network marketing could pay off huge in the future to where you can enjoy all of the things listed above.  And to be honest with you, if you pick the right company it won't even feel like work!  I love my company and I'm in love with their products! Helping, educating and sharing them with the people around me would have been something I would have done anyway; I just happen to get paid for it now.

I'd like to end with this with an introduction I'm working on...
Hi my name is Jimmie and I'm a retired graphic designer.  Although I love creativity and design, I hated someone else controlling MY TIME and MY INCOME.  When I was first introduced to [my company] I liked the fact that it had the possibility of allowing me to control both MY TIME and MY INCOME   It's now a couple years later and [my company] is the reason I am a retired graphic designer. I'm proud to say that I now control both MY TIME and MY INCOME.
